Every year, Alfalit Liberia with support from its head office provides food and non-food items twice a year, during the independence and Christmas Celebration to enable the women feed their families as  a way of appreciating them for their continuous prayer for the nation for peace and stability.

The Women in Peace Building Network, is a network of both Muslim and Christian women that prayed for peace and engaged the war lords during the 14 years of war to stop the killing of innocent Liberians.

The women during the peace negotiations in Accra- Ghana in 2003 hostage the war lords and the peace negotiators not to get out of the hall until the peace deal was signed which eventually led to the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord. The signing of the Comprehensive Peace Accord brought an end to the country’s long standing civil war.

Today, Liberia has enjoyed 14 years of silence of guns and has had two democratically elected presidents.
